I really enjoyed playing obliteration last night, it adds a bit of excitement to the infantry side of the maps.

I too had an enormous amount of fun with this last night. It felt like the game mode inherently attracts team players and I noticed a lot more participation on VoIP with my squad mates. I think we may have just turned into an Obliteration server for a little while!

When the game first came out, Obliteration was broken, mainly because there was no time limit. Rounds of Shanghai Obliteration would last for hours! This is no longer a problem with the added time limits.

For those of you unfamiliar with the Obliteration game mode: This is essentially combat football with guns and bombs.

In Obliteration, a bomb spawns at a random location on the map. Both teams must fight to pick up the bomb, drop it off at one of their opponent's three objectives, arm it, and destroy the objective. Once a bomb has detonated, the next one randomly spawns in a new location and the chaos starts all over.

The game lasts until one team has detonated the other team's three objectives. Obliteration can be devastatingly quick or a harrowing tug of war depending on how good your team is at staying together and delivering the bomb. Like most other game modes, there is usually also a time limit in place to make sure the match does not go on for too long.

While they say the bomb will spawn in a random location, that random location is localized to the center of the map. Staying mobile is key in this game mode. If you see a vehicle of any type at your spawn, you better grab it! Teams may elect to split into offensive (bomb carriers and planters) and defensive (stopping enemy bomb carriers and defusing armed objectives).

Your movement speed is decreased while carrying the bomb but luckily you can hop rides in any vehicle, land sea or air. Note that the bomb, even while carried, will always be visible on the map and on your HUD. If you are carrying the bomb you are a large target, everyone knows where you are and you'll need your team for support.

Obliteration makes Op Locker fun! No really! Since there is no central flag that turns into a choke/kill zone, the game moves quite fluidly through the entirety of the map instead turning into a camp fest.

At this point I prefer it to Conquest because it's fun and it's something different. It also works well with small and large player counts and this is something that Domination and Conquest fail to do.

Let's consider putting all the maps back into the rotation since we now have a new game mode that might play well on maps that didn't work out well for Conquest like Dawnbreaker.

Done. All stock obliteration maps are in the rotation. I've set op locker to 2 rounds and the first in the list. This seems to be the popular one.
