PostPosted: Tue Jul 19, 2005 3:54 pm    Post subject: Welcome all ye fellow button mashers! has evolved into a community composed of many different personalities, backgrounds, interests and topics. The subjects of some threads in the Other Discussion forum are mind boggling in their variety, and we love that fact. But DontCamp was formed by a bunch of guys for the same basic reason that it has attracted so many members, a reason that brings us together and gives us enjoyment beyond comprehension:

This forum is for any and all things related to gaming, the industry around it and the culture that embraces it. It's about our favorite past time, how we came to love it, and where we see it going. It's for talking about who's making good games, who's making bad ones, and why we like em or hate em. If you can use it to play a game, you can talk about it here.

The gaming industry made more money than the movie box office this year, and here's the kicker: it's been doing that for the last four years or so. Our geeky little hobby turned seemingly overnight into real big business, and it's grabbing the attention of the whole world. That kind of attention cause changes, and some big ones are right around the corner.

So let's talk about them. It's your favorite past time and mine, let's give it the credit it's due.
Know thyself.
